Fascia is the thin connective tissue that surrounds all muscles of the body. Tightness and contraction of the fascia can lead to pain, restriction of movement and changes to posture.
Myofascial pain may include:
- dull aching muscular pain
- muscular pain that worsens with movement
- presence of painful ‘knots’ in muscles
- reduced range of mobility
- mood and sleep disturbance
Myofascia Release uses a range of gentle, sustained pressure and stretches to soften and ease the fascia. This is done alongside massaging and stretching the targeted and surrounding areas to improve muscle function and reduce pain.
